1. No godmodding 2. No autohitting 3. No powerplay 4. The battle is set in a battle arena. ((I'm gonna add some rules.)) 5. Winner gets the loser's money 6. No blowing up the stadium or anything. __________________________________ Momiji sat around in the fighters' area of the arena, waiting. The TV monitor turned on, showing who fights who. "So Kira, huh." Momiji grinned. "She's going down." The boy had a price on his head, and he was not going down. They were the last battle. "Even better." Momiji thought. "More time to crush her." He looked toward the door. His opponent wasn't quite here yet. He looked toward the doors anxiously, hoping someone would come soon. The fighters' was oddly angry. Either someone had lured them all to go somewhere else, or the other fighters were lazing around in the Winners' Lounge, which anyone could go in, even if they weren't a winner.
Kira walked into the arena. There were spectators lurking around the entrance, and Kira hated talking to people. She went into the fighters' area, and spotted Momiji. Kira swept past him and stood at the other end of the room, not glancing at him twice.
Pretty soon, a voice over the intercom announced something. "Kira and Momiji, please come out to the arena. Repeat, Kira and Momiji, please come out to the stadium." Momiji stood up, and calmly walked outside. All the people were cheering. "Man, what're they so excited about? We're fighting for our life here." muttered the neko, glaring at all the people that seem totally excited. He walked over to his side of the field.
Kira walked over to her side of the area. The crowd cheered, and she rolled her eyes. The starting alarm rang, and hte announcer came, "Let the fight begin!" Kira bent over slightly and blew a wave of fire at Momiji.
Momiji smirked, and simply sidestepped the wave. He threw something small- a piece of metal straight at Kira. Then, he jumped onto a platform the surrounded each side of the battling area. "Is that all you've got?" he jeered, booing at Kira.
Kira narrowed her eyes and jumped into the air to avoid the metal, doing a backflip to show off. "Nope, it is not." she replied. Kira bent backwards (kinda like doing the matrix) and she turned into a Komodo Dragon.
Momiji hesitantly looked down at his sword. He would never harm an animal or other creature, only if he was on the verge of death he would. "Well, this is a battle." He threw his shield at Kira, a reckless move, but it was the best he could do. Momiji looked at the metal circle glide gracefully through the air, nearing the Komodo Dragon with every spin.
Kira thwacked the shield away with her tail, getting it cut slightly. She changed back to half-dragon, and the cut elongated to make a ring around the end of her tail, slightly bloody. She flew over to land a few feet behind Momiji, quietly unsheathing her sword and swinging it in the air.
Momiji jumped away from Kira and looked at her with interest. He had never fought someone like her. All the girls he knew were weaklings and couldn't even throw a ball, much less wield a sword--well, other than the special girl he met, Len. He also unsheathed his sword and pointed it at Kira. Now was not the time to be curious, nor was it a time to transform into the cat spirit and let the deep voice at the bottom of his mind take over. "You're a quite good fighter." He smiled.
Kira didn't respond. She waved the sword in the air in a circular motion. Slowly fire came over the sword, and it created a flaming tornado. Kira slowly aimed the sword at Momiji, and then flew upwards slightly.
Momiji dodged the tornado, sidestepping it. He blew on his sword, then muttered something. He blew once again, and a flurry of sharp maple leaves flew at Kira. She made him worry. Momiji had never faced a girl that said almost nothing during a battle, and never a girl who looked so calm while fighting, either.
Kira whirled her sword around, this time faster, and re-created the fire tornado for a moment, and the leaves went in, turning into ashes. The tornado quickly dissipated. Kira glided down in front of Momiji and swung her sword at him.
Momiji barely dodged the blow, his left side getting somewhat singed. He summoned the maple leaves once again, but they formed a star above of Kira. A low hum echoed around the area as the spectators' eyes dulled, the melody luring their consciousness to sleep. The star glowed dimly, pulsing as if something inside was stirring. The hum grew louder, audiences' eyes now closing.
"Oh, nothing much, mademoiselle. Just a little 'distraction' so our so-called audience does not see our battle--it makes things so much easier." Momiji smiled cunningly. The star hovering above of Kira suddenly flashed with a white light... And shot out a blast of white-hot energy, and then one of ice-cold energy.
Kira closed her eyes, raising her sword above her head. It flashed once with energy, then the two blasts were reflected off of it and headed towards Momiji. Kira's eyes remained closed and flaming-type white aura appeared around her.
