Tyranitar@leftovers sand stream 252/ defense, 244/ attack, 8/ HP Crunch stealth rock stone edge roar
this is my opener. i use it mainly to set up stealth rocks but has two stabs for an offensive approach. roar lets him get some passive damage from stealth rocks or if he has a type disadvantage. i choose the EVs to help defensively while still letting him pack a punch.
Hydreigion@choice lens Levitate 252/ special attack, 252/ speed, 4/HP Draco Meteor Dragon Pulse Fire blast focus blast
hydreigion is very good at special attacking and has decent speed so it came to my mind when considering a sweeper. draco meter allows it to hit and run while dragon pulse lets it stay in battle with a stab move if i dont have many pokes left. fire blast and focus blast are coverage moves that destroy it's common counters like ferrothorn.
Arceus@dread plate multitype 252 special attack, 252/ speed, 4/ HP calm mind recover refresh judgment
this set come straight out of arcus's smogon playbook. calm mind to boost stats, recover to gain back health, refresh to get rid of pesky status problems, and finally judgment for a strong stab that is only resisted by 3 types.
yet another pokemon right out of smogon's playbook. with a boost from moxie, dragon dance, and life orb scrafty has the potential to become a absolute menace. drain punch allows him to heal off damage from life orb while still ripping the enemy to shreds. dragon dance is to boost stats (of course) crunch is a good STAB and ice punch allows him to counter some of his counters like dragonite.
if you thought you recognized this setup you probably saw it on smogon. thats right another of smogons set ups. it is very similar to scrafty as it boosts attack then uses STABS to break down a team. but unlike scraggy it does not have a source of healing but has a very high priority move in sucker punch that is also a STAB.
Honchkrow@choice scarf moxie 252/ attack, 252/ speed, 4/ HP Brave bird drill peck night slash ????????
it is another of smogons pokes but im not using one of the move slots. a need suggestions for the slot. choice scarf allows it to out speed many of it's foes. brave bird is it's main attack as it is extremely powerful. drill peck is an alternate move in case it has low health or needs to be more on the cautions side. night slash is a STAB/ coverage move for things that resist flying. (if i had acsses to superpower i would use it but i dont so plz dont tell me to use it.)
OK this may say Uber team, but there is no way this'll compete in Ubers. With powerful stuff like Kyogre, Groudon, Palkia and Hooh running around, you're going to be left powerless to stop them. Theme teams donlt rub well in ubers, as they're too strong is likely to have to, like you have, use ineffevtive sets. I love Scrafty, but he's too weak in Ubers...
I'd ditch Arceus and just use this in OU, where actually you might do ok. I'd definatly pick up Prankster Sableye or Spiritomb for their Fighting immunity. I'd also consider running Scarf Tyranitar instead, as this helps check many fast Fighting types such as Infernape, Terrakion and Lucario without a Choice Scarf.
I quite like Scrafty / Hydreigon / Bisharp as an offence, but you really need to wath out for Steels like Skarmory. Hydreigon should be running a Sub set, which lets him lure in and weaken many things that Scrafty has problems with.
I'd also drop Honchkrow - it won't survive with Sand and Stealth Rock wearing it down. I'd put a wild card here like Jellicent, who'll help cover Scizor and give you another Fighting immunity. Gliscor could be another option, working well in sand and giving you Stealth Rock (from Gen 4).
Because of your need to break Skarmory, i'd run Hi Jump Kick on Scrafty for the extra base power.
If you didn'twant to run Scarf Tyranitar, i'd suggest 252 HP / enough Special Attack to OHKO Scizor with Fire Blast / rest in Defence. Tyraintar nas a terrible defensive typing, but you might just be able to (with a Chople Berry and the Defence EVs) to lure in fragile Fighters like Terrakion / Lucario erc and KO with Earthquake or Fire Blast. For bulkier Fighting types like Conkeldurr, switch to Spiritomb instead. You might not even nedd to run any Dark moves Ttar, as you've got enough elsewhere :P
If you went with this, I'd suggest something like Scarf Hydreigon or Krookodile which might help late game.
well this is for a clan battle in ubers and i was told that i can't use my rain team :( so i decided to make a dark team but sirnce it was in ubers i decided to put in arceus for more power. now i'm thinking of making a whole new team for ubers and using this one in random match up (with out arceus)
Well if you want to make an Ubers Dark team, why not use Darkai? Dark Void, 125 Speed, 135 Special Attack, potential for Nasty Plot sweeps and plenty of revenge kills - it could easily work. Tyranitar / Darkrai / Dark Arceus could be a good start, as you have a decent lure in Ttar and two great sweepers / revenge killers with Nasty Plot Darkrai / Calm Mind Arceus. You'd have to pack some Fighting resists, which is why I suggest you only run 3 Dark types and make up the other numbers with pokes to support them.
When it comes to Dark type Ubers, there isn't much choice. Arceus, Darkrai, T-tar, Bisharp, and that's basically it. And T-tar's sand isn't appreciated by Arceus and Darkrai. Especialy Life Orb Darkrai. If you really want a mono type Uber team, consider the Psychic type. There's Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Deoxys, Metagross, Lati@s, Wobuffet, Xatu, Victini, Jirachi, Cresselia and Arceus. You weakness to Dark can be compensated for by giving stuff Fighting type moves, like Brick Break or Focus Blast. Jirachi and Metagross also do a pretty good job at keeping T-tar at bay, seeing T-tar doe not like Steel type moves to the face. However, be wary. You don't have much for powerhouses like Kyogre and Groudon.
