I'll go ahead and quote the message I received about the event, since it does a great job at explaining it:
To celebrate the upcoming launch of Pokémon Conquest, Nintendo is hosting a special meetup at the Nintendo World store and you’re invited! The event is happening on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include giveaways, game demos and a special password distribution that will let players obtain a certain hard-to-find Pokémon that will help bolster their army in Pokémon Conquest.
All Pokémon fans are welcome to attend, so feel free to let your friends, family and members of the Pokémon Marriland fan site in the New York City area know.
It’s not required, but we definitely encourage people to join in the fun and dress up in their best Pokémon or Warlord costumes. You can also bring your other Pokémon games, including Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version and Pokémon Rumble Blast, to swap in-game data with other players… and maybe join a battle!
Pokémon Conquest is a new role-playing adventure for both new and experienced fans of the Pokémon video game series. Developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES Co., Ltd., the game features nearly 200 Pokémon to battle and recruit, and is also playable on Nintendo 3DS in 2D mode. The game launched nationwide on June 18.
We look forward to seeing you there!
While I unfortunately won't be able to attend (it's quite a distance from good ol' Wisconsin!), I'm sure there will be PLENTY of Pokemon fans there! Don't just bring your Conquest game, either; bring Pokemon Black and White to trade and battle with other fans, Pokemon Rumble Blast for some fun in that, and, better yet, bring your Nintendo 3DS to get a whole ton of Street Pass tags!
Now, in other news, there's just a few short hours to go before the official release of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 in Japan. Some very fortunate people have managed to get their copies of the game early and have revealed a whole ton of information. I'll be sorting through as much of it as possible and update the pages on the site accordingly, but realize that most of the true coverage for Black 2 / White 2 on Pokemon.Marriland.com will come from video coverage of Pokemon Black 2, with a walkthrough coming after that is written. My copies are on pre-order and should hopefully be shipping out tomorrow, so they will probably arrive Tuesday - Thursday (I went with the fastest shipping I could go with). Just be patient until then; you'll really enjoy the coverage and the whole experience, and I'm hoping it will be far more thorough and entertaining than any of the other Pokemon sites out there making bullet point lists or using still screenshots.
That's good news. Uhh... really not the place for this but... quoting your walkthrough for SS:
"To get to Lugia's Chambers, you'll want to enter from the northeastern entrance. This is the entrance closest to Olivine City. The others won't take you to Lugia, unfortunately, but you will be able to find a few items down there (nothing super awesome though).
Assuming you're entering from the northwestern island, hop down the first ledge and then stay north, hopping down the northern ledge. Keep walking along until you reach a ladder leading down.
Climb down the ladder, follow the long path south, then west, then a little more south until you see another ladder leading down. There's also a ledge that you can hop down to the left, but don't take that unless you want to leave. Head down the ladder and you'll reach the basement."
Wut? :( Where do I go? I probably need a map to know where each island is to begin with, but uhmm... wut?
Okay, I think you meant SOUTHeastern. I found it, but... I followed the barrier from Olivine down to what appears to be the southeastern entrence.
Oh yea, one more thing! 87 More Pokemon to catch in less than 9 hours, but these guys have raised about $50,900! Great job guys! Their new goal for today is $52,000 to continue helping autistic children.
personally I LOVE the written walkthroughs, and how you put little info on the Pokemon in each route and things like that, but hey if you want to change it up go right ahead, but I am guessing that means you're also going to put soul silver on hold again, and you have to update the Pokedex, and update the site, along with finish your Platinum walkthrough, and then the Pokemon Conquest and then finish the extra stuff in Black and white....... I am starting to think you need another you or something
Technically, isn't it June 23rd in Japan already? That means our copies may be on their way now!
Yes. That is correct. At 11:00am EST, it was 12:00am in Japan on June 23, which was the release of BW2.
Also, The Speed Gamers reached 646 Pokemon caught in 168hrs 5 minutes. Congrats to them. However, at the time of this post, they are continuing due to an epic auction which will probably raise about $4000-$5000
