Ria, holding Kage in her arms, approached the rest of the group cautiously. There was a girl there who Ria had not yet met before. Ria had seen the dark spirits that had made the bridge, and she also had seen that it was this new girl that had summoned them. Something about the new girl was unsettling, perhaps it was her dark powers, or maybe it was the fact that when she smiled she revealed a mouth full of sharp teeth. Whatever it was, Ria didn't want to get too close just yet.
Ria looked around to see that Oscar was laying on the ground unconscious and Dante was no where to be seen. "What happened here?" she asked Kyoro. "Where's Dante?" Ria was afraid to hear the answer. If Dante wasn't here now, then that must mean he was on the bridge when it collapsed... Tears started appearing in her eyes before she had even been given an answer.

"Please don't try to move. If your arm is broken the best thing to do is to not move it until we can get help." Ria was sitting up now and lightly pressing a hand against his chest to get him to lay down. "I want to take care of you, Kage. I know so far I haven't done a very good job, but at least let me do what I can." She slowly and gently slid her arms underneath him and picked him up off the ground.Posted in: Original
"Wait... Dante? But he was still on the bridg--" Ria's words were cut off when she saw that the bridge was no longer connecting the two sides of the canyon. Instead it hang down and lay limply against the rocks, and there was no sign of Dante. "O-oh no..." With Kage in her arms Ria quickly started running along the side of the canyon back towards the rest of the group.

Far down the river and on the other side of the canyon from Oscar and Kyoro, Ria still laid were she was put. Images of when she was almost drowned by her uncle during her childhood raced through her mind. For the first time in a long while, Ria was reminded of her own mortality. "Yeah, I could have died," she replied to Kage, and turned over to face him. He actually looked pretty beat up. Seeing him like that made her reaffirm that what she did was the right thing. At the very least, her jumping into the river had made it to where she was by his side with him right now. She wasn't sure were Oscar had gone, probably back to the others.Posted in: Original
She slowly sat up, feeling an ache in her muscles after pushing them so hard. "Are any bones broken? You're covered in bruises..." Ria sighed. So far she hasn't done a very good job making sure that Kage doesn't get hurt. She's been pretty useless, actually...
Ria heard a loud roar in the distance. However, she had no way of knowing where it came from and it didn't sound familiar to her. Furthermore, it came from the opposite direction that her other companions were supposed to be.

As Kage and Dante made their way across the bridge, Ria felt like she was on pins and needles. She fidgeted with her fingers and gasped every time a plank broke and they nearly fell.Posted in: Original
Then Kage slipped. It seemed to happen in slow motion in front of Ria's eyes. He fell and then disappeared into the rushing waters below. Ria quickly unstrapped the large sword she had on her back, it would only get in the way. She dropped it to the ground and called hastily over her shoulder, "Make sure this gets back to me!" She rushed forward to the edge of the canyon and, without hesitation, jumped.
The force from her body hitting the water knocked all the breath out of her. It was all she could do to fight back up to the surface and take a deep breath of air before she was pulled under again by the current. This isn't good, if I'm going to find Kage I have to stay at the surface. Ria kicked hard for the light filtering through the water from above. When she broke the surface of the water once again she knew she had drifted far down the river already. The bridge was just a thin line in the distance. She fought hard to keep her head above the water.
"Kage!" She called out. "Kaaage!" Shoot... I can't see anything in this filthy water.

Ria's eyes widened at Oscar's words and wasn't very reassured at Oscar's claim that he wasn't going to kill Dante. "He's just a naughty little kitty," she replied as she held Dante closer to her chest. "I'll teach him to be a good boy. Just give me some time," she pleaded. She wasn't sure if her heart would be able to take the sight of Dante getting a beating. She held Dante up until they were nose to nose. "You hear that, little guy? If you don't stop saying things that are so unbefitting coming from such a cute face, then you'll be punished." Having Dante this close, she couldn't help but place a kiss on the tip of his nose. She still wasn't sure exactly how she was going to punish the cat, but she'd think of something. Perhaps hang him upside down or something along those lines.Posted in: Original
Ria saw Kage looking at a very large and deep canyon. She decided to join him, taking Dante with her in order to give him and Oscar some very needed time apart. "Are we going to have to cross this?" she asked Kage. Ria wasn't afraid of heights or anything, but it was a very, very long way down. The bridge looked like it would barely be able to handle the weight of one person. If they were to cross it, they would have to go one at a time. Ria didn't like the idea of her new friends being out of her reach. If something were to happen...

"It's been awhile since I've been around others. So I'm a bit rusty when it comes to social situations," Ria admitted. "Also, I'm used to never really fitting in." She hesitated before going on, because what she was about to say next was something that most others taught her to be ashamed of. "I said earlier to Kage that I was a faerie, but truthfully I'm only half. My mother was human. So, whether I'm with faeries or with humans I'm always treated as being... different."Posted in: Original
Of course, the ones here also seem to be different. Ria thought to herself and smiled. Perhaps its time I stopped traveling alone... Ria was quiet for a few minutes, thinking to herself. She decided to check in Kage to make sure that he wasn't having trouble walking.
Ria's gaze traveled to Kage's shoulder, where Dante was sitting. She grabbed up the cute cat and began stroking his fur absentmindedly as she spoke. "Are you okay? You're not seriously injured, correct? I could carry you if you get tired," she suggested and began rubbing her cheek up against Dante's back. Once again a blush rose in her cheeks.

Lily was still really nervous, but felt better knowing that Jirachi was beside her. She could feel positive emotions coming from the Jirachi and was calmed by them. The bright light that surrounded the two felt warm. Lily closed her eyes and began to focus using Calm Mind. Calm Mind would help her to magnify her psychic powers. The battle raging on behind her faded from her consciousness as she focused only on the Diamond of Life.Posted in: Pokémon Roleplaying
Once she was completely focused, she summoned up her psychic energy and, along with Jirachi, directed all of it towards the evil energy surrounding the Diamond of Life. The feel of the evil aura was nearly overwhelming. So many negative emotions and intentions were concentrated in the aura around the Diamond of Life. It took all Lily had to not shrink back in fear. She pushed harder with her own psychic power, trying to think warm and friendly thoughts. She thought of the friends that she met. The same ones who were fighting behind her in order to save the continent. She also thought of Jirachi beside her who was combining its psychic energy with hers.
As she thought of these things, she felt the evil aura begin to shrink away. This is it! We're almost there! With one last great push of psychic energy, the evil aura was forced out of existence and a blinding bright light coming from the Diamond of Life filled the area.

Kage's voice brought Ria back to herself, though she still didn't loosen her grip on the adorable cat in her arms.Posted in: Original
"I did find something out, actually." She motioned over to Kyoro who was over by the corpse of the dead crocodile monster. "That girl over there. Kyoro. She spoke of something called The Lake of Azure. Apparently its waters can heal the Core Roots. She told me we needed to give Core Roots a bucket of water every day for one month. The only problem is, we still don't know where the lake is located."
Ria noticed that Kage seemed a little shaky on his feet as he tried to stand. Finally, she sat the cat down on the ground and stood next to Kage, putting a hand on his shoulder to help steady him. "Do you need some help? You can lean on me if you'd like." Ria felt it was up to her to take care of Kage. He inherited the job of taking care of Core Roots from his parents, and therefore was someone important that needed to be protected. In her mind, this was Ria's new task.

Kyoro seemed nervous and stammered as she spoke. Ria kept her distance from her so she wouldn't feel too uncomfortable. Once Kyoro had finished telling Ria what she knew, she seemed to get distracted by something and walked away before Ria could ask any more questions. Ris was a bit disappointed that Kyoro didn't seem to know the location of the lake she mentioned, but at least she now had something to go on.Posted in: Original
The Lake of Azure... I should tell Kage what I have found out. As Kyoro walked away, Ria turned around to face Kage again. She had heard his voice talking to someone behind her meaning he was awake and felt well enough to speak. What she saw, however, made her stop cold. A small cat with a bell around its neck had approached Kage and was speaking to him. Kage reached out and ruffled the cat's fur familiarly.
"C-c-c-," Ria stuttered. She was unable to form the full word. She shuffled forward, willing her body to move while she trembled all over. Her heart began racing fast and a blush rose in her cheeks. "C-cuute!" she managed to finally stumble out. Ria kneeled down next to the small creature and scooped him up in her arms. It had to be the cutest thing she had ever seen! With wide eyes Ria began cuddling and petting him over and over. "Cute cute cute cute cute..." She rubbed her face against the soft fur. "Absolutely adorable!"
