People talking about when they joined makes me feel really old.Posted in: General Chat
Then again, I guess I kinda am in comparison to the people here.

It's...two different mediums.Posted in: Pokémon Anime & Manga
Completely different forms of entertainment.
It's not a matter of fairness, it's a matter of production time.

Emulator and ROM discussion is strictly prohibited on these forums (last time I checked, anyway), so if you're looking for computer-only recording, this is not the place to discuss that stuff.Posted in: Pokémon General
As far as alternative methods go, I'm not sure about specific recording software or hardware, but I do know that if you have something to record the TV by, there are a couple ways you can record Pokemon games: One is through the Super Game Boy for the old Gameboy games, another is through the Gamecube GBA player, and finally, another method for the Gameboy ones is Pokemon Stadium (1 or 2). If you record by TV, you'll probably have to record your Audio separately, possibly with something like Audacity, but I sadly have no direct experience in that area. When it comes to DS games, there are methods to connect footage to your computer directly from the DS, but I'm not completely keen on the details.
That's all I know, sadly.

My least favorite starter line so far is probably...Tepig's. Not horrible, but nothing I ever wanted to play with.Posted in: Pokémon General
On the other hand, most disappointing starter goes to Treecko's line. My god the movepool in that game made that line terrible.

X/Y all the way.Posted in: Pokémon General
I've never been a huge fan of Mystery Dungeon. They're decent games but nothing really beyond that, in my opinion. X and Y, being the first Handheld Pokemon Adventure with 3D graphics is definitely hitting the top priority for me. Most of my friends will have it as well, so yeah.

FINALLY. I'M DONE WITH PRESSING B. FOR NOW.
Rather easy Elite Four, I gotta say. Nothing really was hard. I think I used a Full Restore once.
My next Solo Run shall be...
Aerodactyl! Seriously another fossil?

Pressing B is still a super pain in the major rumpus. So much so I might end up doing Firered/Leafgreen for when I get unevolved Pokemon. Not sure though. Meanwhile, Omanyte's bulk makes it pretty much nigh indestructable, its only real weakness being its sloth speed.
Bubblebeam is fantastic. I rarely ever have to use Surf.

Dubbed. Only in very rare occasions do the dubs ever drop below a quality that is unacceptable, and the only reason most people complain about acting quality (when talking about most dubs made after 2000 and especially nowadays), is because they're judging hammy foreign language vs. possibly hammy primary language, the former of which is usually unjudgeable by their language standards.
Plus I believe one gets a better experience when watching a dubbed anime when watching a subbed anime, provided quality is unimportant.
