This obsession I have, it is sometimes good and sometimes bad. It all started in 1996, I was a 1 year old child and my parents took me to the store, a Target, I believe. While we were there we walked by the card game area and as we went by this 1 year old me grabbed the shiniest thing I saw, a Japanese pack of Pokemon cards, well Pocket Monsters if you prefer since they were Japanese, my parents ended up buying them for me and so my love for Pokemon began. Years later Yu-Gi-Oh! was the big thing to me, I forgot Pokemon, not completely, but I didn't play it as much as before. Then in fifth grade I had gotten my first Pokemon game that was all my own Pokemon Emerald Version, by then I was done with Yu-Gi-Oh! and back to Pokemon, I loved it, Pokemon was better than I ever remembered. I had not beeen completely obsessed with Pokemon quite yet, but this game was at that point and still today my favorite experience with Pokemon, I loved the Battle Frontier. Well, anyway back with what I was saying, in seventh grade I had heard about Pokemon Diamond and pearl and I wanted them so badly, but I didn't have a DS yet. So that year on my birthday I had gotten enough money to buy Pokemon Diamond Version and a Crimson Red DSLite. This is where my obsession started. During seventh grade I had a very hard time my parents were getting separated and I was depressed, everytime I would pod something wrong I thought of killing myself, one day I was going to try, but when I went to reach for the scissors instead I grabbed my DSLite with Pokemon Diamond Version and I was confused and I opened it and realized I was in the middle of playing before that and so I continued playing until I forgot what I had planned to do. Pokemon had just saved my life at that point and I was indebted to it. I soon later completed the pokedex for the first time and I started getting every Pokemon game I could find, mostly from the main series. This obsession I now have is good and bad, good cause it keeps me alive, but bad cause all I know is Pokemon and so it makes it hard to make friends. I still have not found another person as in love with Pokemon as I am. And I hope Pokemon lasts forever, I need it to. Thank you for listening to my story and have a nice day, thank you.

Pokemon had just saved my life at that point and I was indebted to it. Pokemon also helped me when I found out my closest friend was dieing and it was all that helped me when she left and I haven't seen her since she left. Pokemon still saves me from depression all the time. I soon later completed the pokedex for the first time and I started getting every Pokemon game I could find, mostly from the main series. I later completed the Pokedex in my White version in 3 weeks exactly and in my Black version 2 in a month exactly, I am very proud of this. This obsession I now have is good and bad, good cause it keeps me alive, but bad cause all I know is Pokemon and so it makes it hard to make friends. I always choose my username as GlaceEx, because of my favorite Pokemon Glaceon, which I always nickname GlaceEx (Glay-see-ucks). I still have not found another person as in love with Pokemon as I am. And I hope Pokemon lasts forever, I need it to. Thank you for listening to my story and have a nice day, thank you.
