Name: John Gallagher
Appearance:John, although being a bit short for his age, is quite attractive, but modest. He has dirty blonde hair that he keeps short and sparkling blue eyes. He is caucasian, and on the pale side. John prefers to keep a tidy appearance, because of his wealthy upbringing, but tries to make it so that it doesn't seem like he is trying too hard to impress. He wears a autumn yellow jacket that is warm enough to be worn as a winter coat, but comfortable enough to be worn in any condition. He keeps it zipped down just a bit, showing a matching yellow polo shirt with a white undershirt under that. He wears a pair of khaki shorts with cargo pockets that go down just under his knees. His shoes of choice are yellow convers with ankle-socks. He wears a plain white beanie cap.
Background: Born in the northern regions of Sinnoh, his hometown is the small city of Snowpoint. His father is the head guard of the Snowpoint Temple, bringing his family great fame around Sinnoh because of his battling skills needed to keep the sacred place in peace. His mother is a talented musician that taught John how to play multiple instruments, including the guitar, piano, drums, and cello. Even though his life would seem perfect to an outsider, however, he led an extremely secluded life. His father was never home and his mother was constantly performing at concerts around the country. He was home alone by himself most of the time and extremely resentful towards others. One day his father came home with a small creature, the likes John had never seen before; a Munchlax that his father had found eating out of the rations. He had noted that it was lonely, sad, and in need of help. John reluctantly took it in, but the Munchlax noted John's reclusiveness and John noted Munchlax's need for attention, and they bonded. Now John, ready to leave his home and go out on an adventure, left home and got on a plane towards southern Sinnoh.
Personality: A person meeting John for the first time would notice that he is quite enjoyable to be around, if a bit quiet or shy. He comes off as kind, although his resentful and reclusive nature from his past does come out from time to time. He has an aptitude for battling, although he does not put his pokemon into battles that they do not want to fight in. Although he is skilled, his personality prevents him from realizing his true potential.
He is very talented in music because of his mother's teaching. He keeps an MP3 player on him at all times, and listens to music before he goes to bed. When happy, depressed, or overwhelmed, he expresses himself through playing music. He brings with him his guitar and viola, and enjoys playing for the group, especially when they ask it of him. He says to himself that his only true skill is his skill in music.
Starter Pokemon: Munchlax, if available.
Role Playing History: I have recently took a break from RPing on the forums, but I wanted to come back at it. An example of one of my posts is actually in the "This is A-Game" post. Mine is the first example of a good post, if you wish to check it out. My characters tend to be similar, however, although not to the extent of the endless Felix Fern posts if you know what I'm talking about. I have also roleplayed in games such as Warhammer Online and World of Warcraft.

Jack watched this spectacle from afar. Even though he himself was such a young, inexperienced trainer, he knew good battle strategy when he saw it. He looked to his side to see if Jazz was interested in this battle at all, but as usual, he had taken a break and closed his eyes, taking a small nap. You could tell he was dreaming, as he was rolling around in his sleep. Jack turned back towards the battle.Posted in: Pokémon Roleplaying
He was quite surprised that the Gligar was beating the water type. Type advantage was usually a deciding factor in a battle, wasn't it? But the battle was continuing on in Lilo's favor despite her type advantage. Jack still had a lot to learn, but had been training steadily with his father, an assistant to Professor Oak, who recommended the exploration to Jack. Jack also learned that Jazz could be roused for battle when the time comes for it, usually being unable to get him up because of his bouts of laziness, a trait of most Slowpokes. Because of his training, his Slowpoke, if being counted for by the level system, was probably level 30. Jack definitely knew what he was doing most of the time, but still he had a lot to learn.
The battle continued on for quite some time, so Jack ended up getting quite bored of watching. Not really in the mood to get out his guitar to interrupt the battle, he roused Slowpoke from his rest and they decided to go explore. Getting him up they walked for quite a ways until they couldn't hear the sounds of battle. Jack wanted to train on a few Digletts before he went back. Water gun, water gun, water gun, until Jack noticed that something had changed from the water gun. It looked much different then what it had before. It was as if the water was rippling in the air in small circles that eventually grew bigger into larger circles. He realized what it was as he was looking through his pokedex; it was Water Pulse! Jazz learned a new move! Happy to know he had learned something to put him ahead of other pokemon, he decided to head back after finishing training.
Getting back, the battle was still going on, and he smiled to the others. Sitting down next to his slowpoke as it began to fall back asleep, he watched the battle with interest.

Name: Jack StudsionPosted in: Pokémon Roleplaying
Job: Trainer (Protector of the Column)
Personality: Jack is very cheerful, but has a quite surprisingly dark sense of sarcastic humor. Despite this, he has a strong sense of duty and justice, and became a protector of the column to make sure that the shards wouldn't get into the wrong hands. He is very musically inclined, and tries to incorporate that into many things he does. For example, if he's bored while protecting the column, he might play his guitar or listen to some music on his MP3 player.
Appearance: Jack has three very stunning features; his bright blue eyes, his bright white teeth, and his dirty blonde hair. Always one for the ladies, a friend of his once teased. He wears a white baseball cap with a yellow front. He wears a longsleeved yellow teeshirt, and khaki pants. He wears a cloth belt and tailor made white and yellow shoes. He's not too short, not too tall, standing at about 5'8''. Jazz, his Slowking, doesn't like its pokeball, so he may be considered apart of Jack's appearance as well.
Background*:Grace Studsion was a pokemon professor in the region before she had heard about the dangerous power of the shards. Deciding to shift her focus of research to the shards instead of pokemon, Jack was also quite curious as well. Still young when she became a shard researcher, Jack had learned about the power of the shards and wished to protect them. Musically and pokemon(ically) inclined, he decided to become a Protector of the Column.
Other*:Son of Grace Studsion, Fan of Horror genre books and movies, likes to make friends, a new protector of the column.
Level 40 (Can't be weak if you want to protect the shards)
Very intelligent but with a slight lazy streak, but is as motivated to protect the shards as Jack is.
Yeah. Looks cool.

I know this hasn't been posted in in a week and a half, but I would like to join, if it's okay, so we can get started.Posted in: Pokémon Roleplaying
Name: Johnathon Bailey
Age (11-20): 14
Starter pokemon: Slowpoke (Jazz)
Description of looks: Johnathon is slightly on the short side, standing at about 5'3''. With dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a bright smile, he constantly charms many of the girls in his class. He's always seen wearing his signature white beanie cap with a yellow pokeball on the side. He wears a white teeshirt with a longsleeved, yellow undershirt underneath. He always wears khakis. Lot's. Of khaki. Shorts. His shoes, tailor made, are white with a yellow outline and a yellow sole.
Biography: Johnathon was born into a wealthy family in Pewter City. His father owned the Museum, which he thought was dreadfully boring, but his mother was a famous singer around the region. She taught him to play many musical instruments, such as the guitar, piano, viola, and the cello. Knowing everything he knows about music from his mother, and a bit of pokemon from his father, he thought he was well prepared for when he joined the trainer school in Viridian City. Recently transferring to Palet Town for his last year of schooling, he's prepared to make new friends and journey with them together on a pokemon adventure.
Before transferring, he met Jazz. Jazz is one of simple folk, but is actually very intelligent, but is hidden but sudden bouts of laziness. Although it is sometimes difficult to get this friendly fellow moving, he is quite skilled at battle.

"Of course. We'll be right on it, sir!" John said in reply, hearing a bit of 'I don't want to do it' in his voice. He quickly glanced to Bashful, who was standing right beside him. She nodded in reply. John smiled as he remembered that his Leafeon is very comprehensive, and is able to understand even some of the most complicated of orders.Posted in: Pokémon Roleplaying
"Tch..." he muttered under his breath. "Of course I have to do this on the first day of work."
He turned his heels and walked right out of the door. Bashful sulked behind him, and they continued onward through the halls. Remembering that he had to work with the other detective, he decided to wait up for him at the door. "I'll meet you there. I'll be taking my car there. Just meet me right outside the gates, okay?" John gave a fake smile and continued walking out the door. Parked right next to the sidewalk was his car. Coming from a wealthy family, he was able to get a bit of extra help to afford a nice car. It was thin, sleek, shiny, and a darkish blue color. He opened up the side door for his Leafeon to get in and walked to the other side. Opening the door, he nervously went in the car. Closing the door, he put his hands on the wheel and sighed before starting the ignition. He fumbled with the seatbelt for a minute and then drove off. Not in too of a hurry, he went slightly under the speed limit as he drove down the rode.
It was a small town, and the roads had multiple speed bumps and cracks, so driving down them was always a pain. Bashful always was startled at the slightest bump or shift, so she was sometimes a bit of a pain to just ride with as well. Slowly pulling in front of the gates and parking outside them, John looked upon the estate. It was quite nice, obviously government funded...well, wait, that's what we wanted to find out, isn't it? John thought to himself. He glanced towards Bashful and she whimpered. She wasn't looking forward to this any more then she was. They both waited at the gate for the other detective to arrive.
(( I'm guessing you're going to play the role as all of the "NPC's" we encounter, such as elm? ))

Oh, yeah, I realised I should've worded that better. I do like the suspenseful horror stuff, but I liked how they did they "killing images" in the visual novel. I might check out Higurashi, it seems pretty interesting.Posted in: Anime and Manga

Hurt boring 5th Gen legendary #2
6/19/2010 4:00:01 AM
I was at a sleep over party once at one of my friends. We all got there early and just partied the day away (well, as much as 5th graders can). Soon, it was getting dark so we all went down to his basement to watch a movie. We had rented "It", the Movie made from a book by Steven King. Yeah, so it wasn't too scary, I actually thought it was kind of funny.Posted in: Polls, Surveys, and Opinion
But his sister had friends over as well, and they all brought their creepy *** looking dolls to the party. When it was time for lunch they all threw them down and went inside and they never brought them back in tell the next morning. They were all over the yard when we woke up. Well, actually, I don't think any of us fell asleep.
There was one of those creepy dalls staring at us through the basement window. IT WAS SO CREEEEEEEEPYYYYYYYY. I couldn't sleep for weeks, it startled all of us so bad when I pointed it out to everyone. We could sleep, we felt as though we were being watched.
It's not neccesarily what I'm afraid of, but that was quite possibly the scariest thing ever in my life.
