No worries, we don't seem to be starting any time soon..Posted in: Original

One other thing. I would appreciate it tons if your game names were reasonably close to an actual name so they can refer to each other a bit more naturally.Posted in: Original

Don't care what kind, just need it to breed little baby happy sparks. I have access to Ditto, Kirlia, and a few other types of Safari, just ask. Other than that, not a whole lot, but I'd appreciate if anyone could help me out. o3oPosted in: Quick Trades
Just PM me or respond here, makes little difference to me, but may not be on 'til tomorrow due to work to catch any replies. ;_;

You're fine, you're fine. Just waiting on either the first two applicants to say something, or we get another application or two..Posted in: Original

It looks fine to me. The only thing from it I wanted more of was more about why her left eye was not functional, but it's all good. I'm not sure if the other two are still around though..Posted in: Original
As far as abilities go, let's leave the specifics out, and just give a general aspiration to what the character would be doing later on. I should'a been more specific, but the only reason mine are specific is because my character was in the beta, for story purposes of course.

I just hope you guys understand the game is brand new and the characters haven't even put on their game units yet. I tried to hint at that in the opening post but maybe I wasn't obvious enough.Posted in: Original

Oh god yes I remember that terrible thing. ;_;Posted in: Competitive Rate-My-Team (6th Gen)
You make another good point, but the point of Espeon is to trump my opponent's attempts at setting up any entry hazards right off the bat. Then, if they really still want to put them out mid-game, sure go ahead, free turn for me to set something up. xD

I noticed it as I was replying, thanks xDPosted in: Competitive Rate-My-Team (6th Gen)
I see what you mean about Grass Knot. It's too bad Energy Ball isn't as widely available to be learned. x.x;
But yes, I'll make that edit as well. Anything else? owo

Posted in: Competitive Rate-My-Team (6th Gen)I think Rest > T-Wave on Rotom-H IMO because all the smogon users are running it with Chesto Berry, especially when Rest is now only 2 turns.
That was ironically the other set I was looking at and thinking about. Will do. o3o
Everyone on Smogon, including me, is running Aegislash w/ Weakness Policy and the moveset Shadow Ball / King's Shield /Iron Head / Sacred Sword, some are being creative and using Choice Specs / Band, Power Trick + Stance Change, or even Automatize sets. Your set is the standard set, it will always be predicted and lacks the touch of surprise, and competitive is all about having unusual sets and surprise.
I was reading up on Aegi and couldn't figure out a good set for the mixed, and I'm glad someone here was quick to list one for me to mess with. Much thanks.
Your Dragonite, IDK, I run a dragonite w/ Weakness policy and Adamant, but I run Dragon Dance / Dragon Claw (being locked into outrage this gen is a no-no, not with fairies around) / Roost (To keep multiscale in tact) / Fire Punch (Fire is very good coverage this gen), your set is amazing, but the only downside, is that when you don't have multiscale, you are outsped and OHKO-ed. My Set does not only outspeed (DD) by also makes Multiscale in tact (Roost) as much times as possible.
Dragonite was probably the one I wasn't as certain with as far as how he works in the current game state. But definitely good points here, I'll make fixes.
Greninja's standard set is Grass Knot / Surf / Dark Pulse / Ice Beam w/ Timid + Life Orb, you can replace Grass Knot with HP Fire, and Dark Pulse with Spikes / Grass Knot (if you don't have it) you can though be creative and use Shadow Sneak (Strategy is using priority to outspeed fighting types and turn to ghost to be immune). U-Turn is a decent option but there are tons better solutions.
I like the idea of Shadow Sneak, I would assume that would take Grass Knot's Spot, or Dark Pulse's? grass Knot is a move I'm often iffy with because of it not having a straight value for its power which leaves me a little irked in that department, though I do know it can be a hard-hitter for sure. I had U-Turn in there because it has silly synergy with Rotom's Volt Switch. :P But the Shadow Sneak bit you mentioned is a really nifty idea I'll have to look into. I like it a lot.
I think Espeon should run 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpA, with Reflect / Light Screen / Psyshock / HP Fire (It doesn't get focus blast), you are already running light clay so might as well put both screens.
Your Aegislash would want that last 4 on SpD and not on Def for Download users.
Last time I played Espeon it could use Focus Blast, I think? I vaguely remember it being able to, but if it can't then HP Fire is definitely going in. xD And yeah that EV spread makes a lot more sense since the Espeon will be attacking as a secondary priority after it's done setting up. And, duly noted for Aegislash as well. x3
EDIT: Made some changes liek you suggested. Anything else? o3o;;

Howdy, so I haven't touched competitive since D/P/P back when I joined the forums, and thought I'd try my hand at doing this again since X and Y are amazing. +~+Posted in: Competitive Rate-My-Team (6th Gen)
Bear in mind that I'm not wondrously experienced in this stuff, so you may just laugh at my team's lack of whatever, but hey, that's why I'm posting this here. I need some advice and critique. So without further adieu, here they are.
Ability: Magic Bounce
Item: Light Clay
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
- Light Screen
- Hidden Power Fire
Espeon is my lead. As far I could predict, I would be seeing a lot of leads trying to do some kind of entry hazard setup, like SR or some kind of spikes. If one was unaware of Espeon's ability Magic Bounce, they'd SR themselves. In another probable case, that lead switches out, giving me time to set up a barrier or two before Espeon's likely KO, and its speed nature and EV's help with that. If it does live long enough though, I do have a powerhouse of a Pokemon to hit my opponent with. HP Fire is to deal with lingering Ferrothorn and other things with a 4x weakness.
Item: Life Orb
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Att
- Shadow Sneak
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam
My choice water-type. Greninja is a fast little frog that can hit fairly decent and has excellent STAB in everything due to his ability, and a fairly wide range of things he can hit hard with said STAB. Being able to change its type on the fly is a fun mind-game to play with your opponent with.
Item: Weakness Policy
EVs: 252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 Def
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch
Look at this thing, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you say his sweep is complete? Anyway, Dragonite is a physical sweeper that can take a hit with Multiscale upon switch in, and hopefully not have to fear any kind of entry hazards due to the wonderful work of Espeon.
Ability: Stance Change
Item: Weakness Policy
EVs: 252 Att / 252 HP / 4 Def
- Shadow Ball
- King’s Shield
- Sacred Sword
- Iron Head
I heard Aegislash was pretty good, and I got a little tip on a mixed set that works, so it's more or less a wall-breaker? It has monstrous stats for attacking so even that STAB Shadow Ball hurts a lot even against normal damaged foes. Trying to keep its speed as low as possible to keep from being hit while out of Shield Forme.
EVs: 252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
My mega of choice, though I hate overlapping types on a team, but Steel seems sturdy enough in any case. I'm not fully certain on Swords Dance since a good few of my Pokemon already seem to need setup, but I am hoping that the extended barriers set up in the beginning of the match help my Pokemon use their setup moves and live to sweep. This set is kinda standard for Lucario, and I will probably swap out Crunch for Ice Punch when it becomes available, if I feel the need for it.
Item: Chesto Berry
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
- Volt Switch
A pseudo-wall I think? I have some coverage here in form of an oven mitt-wearing oven that is a nifty status spreader with bulk to boot. If he finds something nasty he can Volt Switch out of there into something better suited for the matchup, but overall I think this Rotom can counter or check the things that plague my team, and even cripple sweepers of various types.
