Its kinda like looks though. No one can know you at first glance and we're often told not to judge a book by its cover but the majority of us dont go out looking shabby and run-down. It shouldn't be a symbol but it kinda is.
As for me, Im still rolling with my outdated Cricket phone.

Its probably as safe as giving your age on any website. Honestly its pretty safe and I have never had a problem disclosing that information on Marriland.Posted in: Forum Questions and Feedback

Batman, he's easy to understand. Try Kenny from the early seasons of South Park.Posted in: General Chat
Im just wondering? Is there a way to catch up on the Batman story other than movies (dont like the older ones) and comics (cant really see those)? Ive had a great time playing DC Universe Online and now Im kinda getting into superhero stories.

There is always competition in the animal kingdom with humans being no exception. What do animals compete for: subsistence, shelter, mates. If you think about modern human life, you'll see that our necessities are achieved primarily through finance. We buy our food, clothing, shelter, luxuries and we look for partners who can help provide for our family-to-be. If we our society was focused more on hunting/gathering, than people will find different ways to show dominance.Posted in: General Chat
Technology is an expensive luxury that makes life a lot more convenient, in terms of communication and social networking. It becomes a status-symbol for wealth. It also shows (to some degree) a person's level of fame, or how many people they know. This adds a bit of a social competition to the mix.
People really do care about fame, fortune, and legacy.

Hey all, I had to stop by Marriland since Ive been watching some of the new series and I wanted to share my thoughts. Hopefully you'll all remember how much I love anime so here we go.Posted in: Anime and Manga
Kimi ni Todoke 2-What can I say about this, about my lovely Sawako? I loved Kimi Ni Tadoke and when I heard about the second season I was like a druggy who found some spare cash to blow through. I wouldn't call the sequel a disappointment but it didn't make as much impact as the first series did, it was just so slow and I didn't like the Character progression either. Like the first season, Sawako has a very shy personality that boarders the annoying at times but with the 2nd season we take a look at Kazehaya (spelling) a bit more. What we were led to believe about his character alters and we see a more sensitive (for what its worth) side of him. Personally, Ive found his characterization as annoying as Sawako's and if you've seen this series you may understand why. Also (with this being finished) I feel like the emotional parts were forced; they redid many important moments simply to get cheap cries off me (nearly every episode). Why am I telling you this? Dont judge my emothions! Lol, on a serious note, it wasn't bad but it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. If you liked the first season, you'll find this touching.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika-Im not a fan of magical girls anime but this really caught me (not initially). At first it didn't seem like anything too spectacular (although the first episode was an attention getter) but as I got near the end, I really loved it. I rather like the character developement, plot and twists. Its a magical girl anime and this guy actually likes it, doesn't that say something? Check it out.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?-Another magical girl anime (though it wasn't as good as Madoka). Basically its a typical harem and in doing so, it lost a lot of my attention. I wouldn't say its as annoying to watch as Tadoke but there was nothing spectacular. I mean at least Tadoke had a lot of emotional parts while this series was lacking in all aspects. The only thing I really liked was the main character being a zombie and being decapitated time and time again. Its not bad but its one of those series that you'll want to watch when you have nothing else to catch up on.
I'll add more. Chao

Yes, season one was awesome; it was cute, funny, and touching. It was kinda nice that season two had a recap and now Im even more confident that theres a valentine's episode. I dont know why no one else is excited.Posted in: Anime and Manga
