I'd only live one place and that would be Cinnabar Island before it was destroyed. I'm a sucker for Fire Type Gyms.
Lavaridge Town Would probably be second.

If I'm going with electric, I'd much rather have Galvantula or Raikou. But I will pick Raichu just because Pikachu was annoying in Pokemon Yellow, and the rest just looked repetitive after Gen 4 electric squirrel.
My nominations are Charizard and Tyranitar
My strategy is pretty good. I caught Kyurem with it in Pokemon Black. So 3 easy steps.
I was hooked on Pokemon LeafGreen the moment I got it. Pretty soon, I got copies of the original anime dub and started watching. Then I started watching the Battle Frontier episodes on Cartoon Network, got some original cards and have not looked back since then. My card collection is worth around oh say at least $1000 now. Seen every Anime episode that has been dubbed, and still competitive battle on my LeafGreen with friends.
Hmm my top 3 would have to be Absol, Salamence, and Aggron. All 3 were on my HG team.

Goopoint. But some part of me is nostalgic. I wish Ash would remember all of his friends and recollect old memories. So basically, when he says "We will visit sometime!", it doesn't actually mean anything except for the Main Characters such as Dawn, Misty, Brock, May, Max, Tracey ( Doubt it ), Iris ( He will say it sometime, when he is leaving to the next region ) and Cilan. That is pretty sad.
He does on some occasions. Can't remember all the episodes but on the Onix Island episode when Oshawott learns Hydro Pump, he thinks of Brock.

That is not true. Even then, a Snivy that just started it's adventure should have been beaten by a Pikachu that has Beaten and Participated in many Gyms and Pokémon Leagues. If you notice, everytime they start a new Region, the Pikachu is weak as ever, as if it is the first time they are teaming together. Now, discounting Pokémon Moves, the Pikachu should have easily beaten the Snivy. There is no way that Snivy could have been trained. If it was, Professor Juniper would not have given the Pokémon. I know, there are many people who give a Lv10 Pokémon or strong and trained Pokémon as a Starter, but, since Professor Juniper is an actual Professor like Professor Oak, she gives out starter Pokémon. If Pikachu was still in the Kanto region, just starting it's adventure, then Snivy could have defeaten Pikachu. Even after the first Gym, Brock's. But not now.
But the point still remains, how do we know that the in-game physics transfer over to the anime. How do we know Pokemon level up or learn moves at a set period in the anime? How do we know Pokemon get progressively stronger or weaker as the anime goes on? How do we know Professors don't give away stronger Pokemon in the anime than in the game? We don't and that is what your point is based off of, that In-game physics transfer over to the anime. That is not the case. Let's take Ash's Cydaquil for an example. If we go by the in-game physics, traveling with Ash through Johto should have made Cyndaquil at least a Level 50 which is well enough to evolve into Typhlosion at level 36. But that was not the case. Cydaquil evolved at the much later Sinnoh league. Which if it was training all that time at Oak's Lab, should have made it at least Level 80 which would have made it evolve. But in the Sinnoh League it evolved into Quilava and learned Eruption which Quilava learns at level 68. If we went by in-game physics, Quilava would have been a Typhlosion by now, thus proving my point that the in-game physics in no way transfer over to anime.

Yup. Also, how can a Snivy Lv5 ( Trip's ) beat a Pikachu that has gone through Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh? That makes no sense. Even a quick attack should have defeated that Snivy. In fact, the Pikachu should be atleast Lv50, if not Lv80+ . Red, in HG and SS has a Lv88 Pikachu just by travelling through Kanto. Even if Pikachu was Lv30 in Kanto, and then Lv40 in Johto, Lv50 in Hoenn, and Lv60 in Sinnoh, it should have beaten that Snivy with one Quick Attack. They also travelled through Orange Island and through the Kanto Battle Frontier in Season 2 and Season 9 respectively. Heck, that Pikachu defeated a Dragonite in the First Season. That Dragonite has to be Lv55+, as Dragonite evolves at Lv55. This way, Pikachu should be atleast Lv50 during the time it battled Dragonite. And it could not beat a Lv5 Snivy, even with a Quick Attack. I hate it when they reset the Level of that Pikachu. Strength-wise, that Pikachu can easily be one of the strongest Pokémon in Unova, since it has come a really long way. It just doesn't make sense.
First of all, how do we know Pokemon in the anime level or evolve like the Pokemon in the game (Proof: Ash's Oshawott knows Hydro Pump, which it does not learn until Level 43 in the games. There is no on screen appearance of Ash giving Oshawott an Everstone therefore we can imply that Pokemon only learn moves or evolve in dire situations in the anime.)
Secondly, if Pokemon level up in the anime like they do in the game, Trip's Snivy would have to be at least level 16 as it knew Leaf Tornado. Plus Pikachu was already very weakened by Zekrom therefore it made perfect sense for Ash's tired and weak Pikachu to lose to Snivy, who was fresh and healthy.
As for Ash age and Personality, I would like to see him older and more mature but the show was made for 7 year old's so it would make sense to little kids.

Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are my favorite of all time, they were my first games, they have great Pokémon, great graphics for that time, Kanto's the best region, and it's just amazing.
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness comes in at a close second, I wish Nintendo would make another Shadow Pokémon game for the Wii U already... That game is so great, the idea of Shadow Pokémon is really cool and I've played the game over four times.
Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver come in at third, the regions are huge, tons of Pokémon to collect, there are just TOO many things to do.
This is also my top three.
