Alright, folks, it's time to finally unveil one of the more exciting new features to the Marriland website...
The Marriland Wiki!
Yup, that's right, we now have our very own Wiki on the Marriland website. Previously known as The Pokemon Wiki from the Wikia network, the admins and staff from there have looked elsewhere for the future of their Wiki, so we are teaming up to bring their Wiki together with the Marriland community and website, resulting in the creation of the Marriland Wiki. I'm very excited to have them aboard and believe this will be a fantastic start to building a high-quality Wiki for the site.
You may be asking, though, what does this mean for the main website of Pokemon.Marriland.com? Don't worry, both sites will run independently of each other — I'll continue working on the walkthroughs and nifty tools on Pokemon.Marriland.com, while leaving the Wiki to handle specific things, such as information on Route 3 or the anime. It's a great encyclopedia for Pokemon, plus anyone has the power to edit it, so we can work as a collective to have plenty of Pokemon information available.
One other thing you may be asking is what separates us from one of the most popular Pokemon Wikis out there, Bulbapedia? Well, we're both Wikis focused on providing thorough information on Pokemon. That's sort of the nature of a Wiki. But Pokemon.Marriland.com has always been about being more than just a Wiki, so it provides a solid foundation for a lot of the information out there, thanks to my walkthroughs and Pokedexes, as well as the tools available on the site. Additionally, I'll be linking to many pages on the Wiki from pages on the site like walkthrough pages or even Pokedex pages, providing an excellent way for you to see more on the topic, but while still providing the experience you're used to seeing (instead of solely a Wiki format).
I also look forward to using the Wiki to collaborate on walkthrough projects down the line, since walkthroughs are one of the things that has helped shape Pokemon.Marriland.com, except they've been done entirely by myself for all of this time! A Wiki provides a great way to collaborate on projects like that.
I have a lot of respect for Bulbapedia and think they've got a great thing going on, but I glad to see the resources of The Pokemon Wiki mixed with the resources of the Marriland site and community to form our own Wiki, the Marriland Wiki, so we can have one to call our own. As time progresses and we get more and more contributors editing the pages of our Wiki, we'll see it fully blossom into a great creation. I know I've had a blast using it and contributing to make it an even better Wiki, so I hope to see more eager writers get in there and help contribute towards the topics you know best about Pokemon. (But make sure you read the rules!)
Well, that's the big announcement I have. For other news, I finally updated the Black 2 / White 2 Walkthrough! It now includes some of the post-game stuff, including all of the steps to get yourself Black Kyurem or White Kyurem! Awesome!
The Black 2 / White 2 Pokedex has been updated as well, to include information on where to find certain Pokemon, such as through the Hidden Grottos and through Swarms. Some of the location names should also be updated there, too.
