This is the Main Oekaki Board. Here you should be putting effort into your pictures. Edited on July 4th, 2008, due to the dropping of the quality in art on the main board recently after Marriland assigned new administrators. Re-edited on October 5th, 2008. Small detail added.

Here are some suggestions to follow. Suggestions. Guidelines. not "These are rules that must be followed or else it's to the guillotine for you." I (Exire) just wanted to clarify this. I hate seeing people get frustrated because their backgrounds aren't all that, or if they used one colour only for shading, etc etc. I feel guilty for tweaking the rules, even though the tweaking was needed. I realize that it was quite unfair. So I just want to emphasize on the fact that these are guidelines. At least try to enforce some of these in your pictures. I know that the majority of you already do. I'd like to apologize. I'm sorry. And if any of the admins disagree with this edit, feel free to delete.

- Spend atleast 25 minutes on your picture. The more time you spend on it, the more effort, the better it is. We have decided to change the 10 minute rule to 30 - if you do not have the time or the patience to draw a picture that is at least 25 minutes, or a picture that looks like it would usually take 30 minutes to draw (a rather decent, good picture), then please practice on the doodle board. We do not need 15-minute spam pictures flooding this board.

- Try your best to put in a background, matching or not matching. It makes the picture look livelier/darker, whatever you're shooting for.

- Put "in-depth" shading. Don't randomly put darker areas and say "There I put in shading."

- Make your picture look neat. 1/10 times, you can put scribbly line art and it'll look nice. For the rest of the times, it looks rushed and messy.

Please try to follow these guidelines to make your artwork nicer and better fit for the main board!

Lastly, if you are making a Pro Board Application, the words "Pro App" in the title of the picture, or in the tags, will make searching for your picture much easier.
