The Rebellion (FULL)

Red thought about that. "Well I do hate humans... and Alakazam calls me a rebel... I'll ask him."

Red rushed back to the cave, and asked Alakazam, "Alakazam, can I-"

Alakazam cut him off. "Yes of course Red, have fun."

Red frowned, something was wrong with Alakazam. He thought nothing more of it though, and left the cave. "Ok. Thanks Alakazam."

Red sprinted back to Riolu. "Well Alakazam said it was fine, so I guess I can go with you guys." He smiled and Riolu smiled back. "So lets go!"

They both ran back to the base camp, Red lagging a bit behind, being a Croagunk.

Riolu reached the camp first, looking around. He couldn't see Cinder. Red tumbled out from the trees, panting. Vulpix was eyeing a Fire Stone curiously - Riolu remembered finding it in the ironworks. "Right!" He shouted to the assembled Pokémon. "It's time we moved on. We've been here long enough." A ripple of murmuring agreement passed through the party. "We'll move off n- as soon as we find Cinder." The Pokémon started to look around, finally realising that Cinder wasn't there. "We have to look for Cinder!" The Pokémon scattered into the trees in teams of two, looking closely at all of the nearby surroundings as they went.

Cinder used an ember attack on the pokeball. An inexperienced trainer, yes, but scary all the same.


It had all happened so fast.

Cinder still couldn't remember which direction to go, but he remembered that the base camp was somewhere south of the Ironworks, so that was the only direction he was going to head in. He knew where he was now, although he was quite a ways from the base camp, but at least he knew where to go. He used the log to get across the river once more.

But all of a sudden, something had hit him on the head, and his surroundings changed drastically. It was as if he was in some sort of a container. He found in uncomfortable, and the feeling was familiar, but he didn't know what it was. He struggled.

And his surroundings changed back to what they were. A small ball could be found next to him. Cinder looked up and saw a boy around the age of ten. He didn't know what he wanted with him, but he knew that he was trying to capture the Magby. This was a bad situation.

Cinder ran, and the boy brought out a Shinx that began running after Cinder. It kept on using thunder shock, and Cinder had to counter using Ember. The two attacks met each other in the air, and they clashed in a violent manner. The boy kept chucking pokeballs at him.

Back to the present...

The Ember knocked the pokeball out of the air and Cinder darted from tree to tree. The trainer eventually gave up and went away with a disappointed look on his face. Cinder sighed in relief, but he had to get to the camp. He was injured badly, and didn't know if he could cauterize his own wound. He just had to wait for help.

Rilou went and picked up his Ultra Ball that was lying on the rug, and climbed inside. He had rigged a catch onto the inside so that it could be opened from inside, and he found some Starly feathers that made it very comfortable inside. He hoped that Cinder would turn up soon. He suddenly felt a violent urge to look for Cinder, so he left the Ultra Ball, neglecting sleep, and walked slowly into the forest. Ten metres later he found Cinder's necklace, snagged on a tree. Looking at the ground, he saw footprints heading west. It frustrated Roilu that Cinder had come so close to base camp without finding it. He grabbed the necklace and started to trace the footprints. He remembered to leave a trail of bits of Magost Berry to find his way back. They were rotten, so Riolu was confident that nothing would eat it. Satisfied, Riolu walked in the direction of the footprints and telltale flattened weeds that marked Cinder's trail.

Red was looking around for Cinder, when he saw a pokeball lying on the ground. It had burn marks on it, and he assumed it was a fire pokemon's attack. A fire pokemon's attack! It must have been CInder! Red looked around and saw 4 sets of footprints, one a humans.He recognized Riolu and Cinder's and another one that looked like... a Luxio? Maybe a Shinx?

Cinder's footprints seemed to end, while Riolu's kept going. Red guessed that Riolu was following it. But where was Cinder going? He saw bits of a rotten berry, and wondered why they were there. There were no berry trees around, so he concluded that a Pokemon must have dropped it. Riolu, Red guessed.

Red noticed a tree branch had been snagged, as if something had been pulled off. Soemwhat confused, Red followed the trail of Magost berries.

Riolu's aura alerted him to something following him. He sensed two legs and jumped to the conclusion that it was a human and jumped around. His aura peaked, and Riolu formed it into an Aura Sphere, shooting it seconds before the pursuer came out of the bushes. With a horrified gasp and a yell he saw it was Red, and shouted at him to get out of the way. Even as he said it, he knew that Aura Sphere could never miss, and he ran to Red, not so much to protect him as to heal his wounds when the attack hit. Riolu was too slow, and Red caught the aura right in the stomach. With an odd <oof> noise he fell over. There was a gash on Red's bandages, which had somewhat cushioned the blow, but there was blood. Riolu cursed. "We need Cinder to cauterise this. CINDER? CINDER!"

Red was barely concious but managed to mutter to Riolu: "Good attack..." Then everything went black.

"Where am I?" He asked, in his dream or nightmare, Red was unable to tell which yet. Everything was still black, and there was a Pokemon in front of him, a trainer standing beside him. Red could barely make out the outlines of their bodies.

"You're in a Nightmare. And you will be scared. Because that's what nightmares do you see they scare you. My good friend Darkrai made you have it." The trainer explained, and even though Red couldn't see him, he knew the trainer would be grinning.

But Darkrai? How is that...? Red thought, puzzeled. Then red heard footsteps meaning the trainer was walking away. Then Red saw it. A portal, it seemed, but when Red was pulled closer, he found that it was some sort of hole. He was being pulled! Closer, closer! Then he was sucked in, and once again, everything went black.

@DarkLeader: We're at the ironworks, and JackMan's character got lost, so we're looking for him. Oh, yeah, and I just accidentally knocked out nabby's character with an Aura Sphere. And if Insanity turns up, the Vulpix he's playing has a Fire Stone.

BiC: Red started writhing about on the ground. Riolu could hear him muttering things under his breath, too quiet for Riolu to hear. He was surprised - and, despite himself, a bit pleased - at how strong he was. He had one-hit KOed a Croagunk! This revelation gave him sudden energy, and he practically threw Red onto his shoulder, ignoring the smell from the Black Sludge he was holding, and raced off into the trees, keeping a keen eye on Cinder's footprints once more and dropping Magost Berries as he went. He'd gone about fifty metres when Red thrashed particularly violently in his sleep, driving Riolu face-first into the mud, and yelling, "NO! DARKRAI, GET AWAY! NO!" Riolu would have thought this was funny if he wasn't concerned and also hurriedly getting mud out of his eyes. Riolu's shoulder was tired, and he didn't want another unexpected mudbath, so he lifted Red with his aura, and walked ahead, through the trees and straight into a clearing, where Riolu spotted Cinder sitting, looking very forlorn. "Hi Cinder! Where WERE you? We've been looking everywhere, but you look fine. Enough talk, Red got hurt, and we need you to... um... fix him up. Not sure what the word is, just fix him up, okay? Thanks." His energy expended, Riolu collapsed into a doze. He jumped at the slightest noise, not getting a bit of sleep. He didn't mind, though.

"Darkrai." Red murmered. "Why did you do this?"

Red opened one eye after saying this, but the effort was too much, and he had to shut it after a few seconds. "Darkrai."

'But how did I know that?' Red thought to himself, scared. 'Was it a message? Or something else...? Or a sign of things to come...?'

Red, worried about his own safety as well as his friends, tried to get the blackness out of his vision. 'I must be able to see something! Shouldn't I?'

"Darkrai is... coming." He said out loud, his eyes still closed. It was only a guess, but it was a good one.
