  • #5 Scrafty

@pants98- Marill is part of the Fairy egg group so that's probably why.

Well, if that's the reason, let's hope they don't do the same thing to Pikachu!

Since it's also part of the fairy egg group then that means it will also be part fairy

  • #69 CaptainDarvin

No it doesn't! Just because it's in the egg group doesn't mean it will be. Never change the main character! Maybe it could learn some fairy moves; but come on, do you really expect a GALILEE to be a fairy type!

  • #73 chancifer13

No. There are plenty of Pokemon in egg groups that contradict that. For example: Ekans and Arbok fall into the Dragon egg group. In fact, there's quite a few Pokemon the Dragon egg group, that aren't Dragon-type (like, Scraggy and Scrafty...like...really? dafuq is that...)

Also, let's take a look at some of the Pokemon in the Fairy group that absolutely cannot be retconned to Fairy-type, because they are already dual-type: the Hoppip family, Breloom, the Roselia family, and Froslass. The only dual-types in this egg group that could get changed would be Togetic and Togekiss.

  • #75 XerneasLover

I agree with you. I can't imagine the Pokémon in the fairy egg group that are already dual-typed will be re-typed to fairy. Plus, there are Pokémon in the fairy egg group that really shouldn't get the new fairy type, anyway. Also, quite a few Pokémon that are not in that particular egg group should get the new type. Bellossom, for example. So I don't think the fairy egg group will be the basis for the re-typing of older Pokémon. ;)

Marril is the water pikachu so there is a high chance that pikachu will be fairy.

  • #104 UltiRayLightPKMNMaster

I hope Sandshrew or Sandslash isn't going to be fairy type

  • #121 Samurotter

But how would that make any sense...

  • #211 RagingSwampertFTW

    Pikachu be a fairy-type... I hope not.

  • #245 Mikmor0430

I know Pikachu being a fairy type will kill people and will create controversy. I really hope the creators don't make that mistake.

    Coz he's flippin' cute!!!
  • #268 DoubleKFire

It was a joke that's why.

r u sure because the new pokemon Dedenne is electric/fairy and its like a mini version raichu and thats the evolve form of pikachu,so if pikachu becomes fairy type then that might be y instead(i hope it doesnt though)

Did you mean to say Gallade? If so, that is not true because Gallade is in the Amorphous egg group.

  • #291 XerneasLover

I think he meant Glalie. And he's right, it would be weird if Glalie was part fairy type, to be honest. :P

  • #292 UltraPsychic

@pants98 "Marril is the water pikachu so there is a high chance that pikachu will be fairy."

That's some of the worst logic I've ever seen or heard.
