• Pokémon Update: Bianca Pokédex Skin, E3 Pokémon X & Y, and Marriland Forums turn 10!

    It was a rather light news week last week, but this week's Pokémon Update rounds up some of the main stories and events of the week, including the Bianca Pokédex Skin that snuck under our radar before, the Pokémon X & Y round-table at E3, as well as the Marriland Forums turning 10 years old!

    In fact, to celebrate the Marriland Forums turning 10 years old, we're even holding a giveaway for some awesome stuff, including a Nintendo 3DS, a Pokémon game, and five Marriland T-Shirts. Yes, that's right: Marriland T-Shirts!

  • Pokémon Update: New Pokémon for X & Y, Plasma Blast TCG & Nintendo eShop Giveaway!

    Last week sure was a busy week in the Pokémon world, so if you've missed out on the recent updates, Jess is here with this week's Pokémon Update to give you the run down on what's been going on lately! In fact, she even gives the scoop on the upcoming Pokémon TCG set, Black & White—Plasma Blast, due in August.

    On top of all of that, Curse is giving away a $20 Nintendo eShop card to one lucky commenter over on YouTube! This can be redeemed on either the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U. All you have to do is leave a comment over on the video above AFTER READING THE DESCRIPTION with the rules listed inside. You've just got to leave a comment on the YouTube video (not here on Marriland... at least this time around!) saying which of the four new Pokémon looks coolest and why. As this is for the North American eShop, only those of you in North America can win, although we will be doing more small giveaways like this in the future and will be sure to include other countries as well, don't worry!

  • Marriland Nintendo 3DS Giveaway Winners!

    There were over 570 entries to the Pokémon Story contest held from December 11th to January 11th, where Pokémon fans across the United States and Canada shared their stories of how Pokémon has affected their lives or what their favorite Pokémon moments were during their time as Pokémon fans.

    I've personally gone through all of the entries, and wow, let me just start by saying fantastic job, everyone! I wish I could give away Nintendo 3DS systems to everyone who entered, because there were just too many excellent stories to choose from and it was very difficult to narrow it down to just one winner for each category! It was excellent to have a chance to read so many of your stories and to see how Pokémon has affected your lives.

    In the end, though, one winner was selected for each of these three categories:

    • Best Written
    • Most Touching
    • Funniest

    Additionally, two Curse Premium subscribers that entered the contest were selected at random to receive a Nintendo 3DS.
