• Big Pokémon X & Y news coming Saturday!

    The Japanese show Pokémon Smash has recently announced that they will be revealing big news regarding Pokémon X and Y on this week's episode. You can see a teaser for this big news in the video above (in Japanese). Director Junichi Masuda will be on the show to unveil something new pertaining to Pokémon X and Y!

    There are a total of three scenes with those question marks in them — one of which, is a battle scene, implying that a new Pokémon will likely be revealed. Whether this means three separate pieces of X and Y information will be revealed or whether it is the same thing being revealed three times is still unknown, but we will find out Saturday evening in North America, as well as late Saturday night or Sunday morning in Europe, and at 7:30-8:00am on Sunday in Japan.

    Backing this up is a tweet from the official Pokémon Twitter account saying "big Pokémon news" is coming up "next Saturday," which is confirming that, whatever the announcement is, it will be made internationally as well.

  • Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Animated Shorts!

    No, I'm not talking about the shorts you wear — that'd be silly! — I'm talking about short animated teaser episodes showing off the world of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity! Pokémon has finally released them in English to help get you excited about the new Mystery Dungeon game.

    The first video, shown above, shows the basic premise of the game, with a human turned into an Oshawott who is then awoken by a Pikachu with ambitions to create a Pokémon Paradise.

    The second video takes you further into the game, shows off several of the game's characters, and also introduces you to the Magnagates. It may contain some spoilers, though, but nothing too major at all and I would say it's still fun to watch even if you haven't gotten that far in the game yet.

  • Major Pokemon Announcement coming on January 8th!

    The official Pokemon website has recently announced that big news is coming on January 8th. This comes just an hour or two after the official Japanese Pokemon website posted an update about it. What does this mean? We'll find out for sure on January 8th (possibly midday January 7th, due to the time difference in Japan), but whatever it is, it is likely to be a major announcement.

    The announcements of Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 were held in a similar manner, with both the international and Japanese sites making a simultaneous announcement about the new games.

    There are a few possibilities of what they're planning on announcing. I'm going to give my opinion on three different possibilities I've been hearing a lot about regarding what these games could be.
